Ghassoul
Moroccan Lava Clay. Mineral clay from the Atlas, in powder or stone form, for masks and hammam rituals.
Description and uses
Natural clay from Jbel Ghassoul, in the Moulouya valley (Middle Atlas), traditionally used in the hammam to wash skin and hair. Its main component is stevensite, a magnesium-rich clay; Moroccan regulations reserve the name «Ghassoul» for products with more than 90 % stevensite. It is mixed with water, rose water or orange blossom water to form a paste. We supply it as fine powder or in stones, in bulk or packed.
